The Airport is situated on 230 acres and has an Airport Improvement Plan which will add a full parallel taxiway and new approach lights.  The Airport Improvement Plan is a three year plan, updated annually, to insure the airport continues to grow in size, service and customer satisfaction.

The airport is owned and operated by Duplin County under the direction of a nine member Airport Advisory Commission reporting to the County Commissioners.
